Chardonnay is one of the most highly prized white varieties in the world.  In a diverse region like the Barossa, we have chosen to take the High Road to Eden Valley, Barossa’s high country and premium cool-climate district, to capture the very best flavour and texture that Chardonnay has to offer.

Many people choose this vibrant style of wine for their drinking pleasure during the warmer summer months.  Bella Rouge, Italian for “beautiful” and French for “red” respectively, takes its inspiration from these two traditional wine cultures, to make a refreshing rosé wine perfect for al fresco dining with family and friends.

Hidden under the Monastrell and Mourvèdre aliases, Mataro has too often been relegated to the rank of a ‘blend only’ grape. The time for a Resurrection is upon us. Driven by a new generation of Barossa winemakers, Mataro is now taking its rightful place as a variety of regional significance.

Deep colour; rich ripe and concentrated aromas of dark plums and a faint whiff of eucalyptus/mint, dark chocolate and subtle toasty oak too. It's full bodied and rich, with a fleshy core and satisfying weight and mouth-feel. A generous, full-bodied red that will richly reward a few years in the cellar. Great value, too. A  Barossa institution since 1858, the Kegelbahn is where Kegel, the German for skittle, and a bowling game with nine pins instead of ten, is played. Today’s players preserve the values of the game which are enjoyment, friendship and skill, all while sharing fine Barossa wine.

Cabernet Sauvignon's origins reveal it was the Wild Child of two similar sounding grapes after a chance crossing in the seventeenth century. Growers suspected this due to the shared characters with both Franc and Blanc. Moreover, the Sauvignon itself derives frm 'sauvage', the French for wild.

Old Barossa vignerons referred to their vineyards as gardens. The Three Gardens is a contemporary blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro, varieties which have been grown in the Barossa since the 1840s. The best characteristics of each variety have been combined to create a truly harmonious wine.

Once a neglected Old Vine Garden in Lyndoch, The Fifth Wave vineyard was rejuvenated by Langmeil and in 1999 winemaker Paul Lindner saw the potential of the Grenache from this unique vineyard and with tenacity convinced the owners to produce a straight varietal, in all likelihood the first time Grenache from this time honoured Old Vine Garden had been truly prized.

Orphan Bank is a testament to Langmeil's commitment to preserving old and rare Barossa vineyards. Ten rows of Shiraz planted pre-1860 were saved from the developer's bulldozer and replanted alongside the original Langmeil vineyard on the banks of the River Para. We called these ten rows the "Orphans" but after 150 years they have a new home.
